Hong Kong - Plus New Camera, Minus One Beard

After a little searching and haggling we purchased a new camera. Of course Patrick had to check the internet to see how much we over paid…turns out the best we could find online was $10 less so we felt good…bring on the photo opportunities!
We had booked a great guesthouse in Hong Kong that put us right in the middle of it all. After the New Years celebration over Victoria Harbour it was nice only having to navigate 4 blocks back to our place as the streets were jam packed. We stayed up until 1:30! Again, we can so pass for young college kids. Right?

Looking out our bedroom window…we never could figure out what they were doing inside but whatever it was they never stopped, a true 24/7 operation.

With nice weather we took the famous Star Ferry and toured Victoria Harbour. Patrick managed to not get sea sick!

That afternoon we took the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak. Once on top there were fanatastic views of Hong Kong.

No trip to Hong Kong is complete without taking the world's longest covered moving walkway. Everytime we thought it was ending it kept going and going....

It was a much debated topic and after wasting too much of our life discussing what should be done, Patrick decided to have the beard hacked off. Claudia is still getting used to the muffin top and no scruff. She coined the phrase..."it looks like Lego hair".

On our last full day in Hong Kong we took the subway about 1 hour out of town to Lantau Island. We took an amazing gondola ride to yet another big Buddha. This one is the largest, outdoor, sitting buddha. It was pretty cool. And Claudia loved the lotus flower it was sitting in.

Random picks...Claudia doing her thing after a couple drinks :)
Who needs steel scaffolding when you have bamboo...Anthony, you should appreciate this.
