An Aussie Good Time-Part 2

After our fun adventures in Sydney, we were off to Cairns to explore the Great Barrier Reef and rain forrest. We were welcomed with a great blast of heat, so we spent our first afternoon at the Esplanade in downtown Cairns. The second day we took a trip out to one of the many reefs (of course we can't rememebr the name). Patrick scuba dove and we both snorkled. There were plenty of beautiful fish and coral.

Our final day in Cairns, we decided to do an Aboriginal experience tour. We drove up near Port Douglas and were taken on a hunting hike through the beaches and mangrove forrests. We both found mussels without any help spotting them and we saw our guide, Brandon, dig out a crab. Then we ate our catch and went on a crocidile boat tour (no crocs). We finished the day with a rainforrest hike to a waterfall. It was a nice and edcuational day.

Cairns was short, but relaxing. Good-bye, Australia.
