Day 2 in Singapore we set out to find where Pat Vecchio used to live in Katong, Singapore. After a short train, long walk (2 hours), asking for directions 3 or 4 times (usual response was, "hmm, I've never heard of that street), and losing 10lbs in sweat, we were delighted to find out why nobody knew where the street was....the entire street had been demolished and replaced with a construction site. Needless to say we were just happy to see another part of Singapore :) The kicker...we got a $10 dollar cab back to the city which only took 10 minutes...we should have taken Pat's advice and started the day with a cab.
