Singapore-Part 1

We arrived at night into Singapore so our first full day was jammed packed with sights, sounds and tastes. We started at the Singapore Zoo. It is an open environment where the animals aren't behind glass or fences. All the gates and dividers between the spectators and animals are camoflaged with natural foilage. It was beautiful and immaculate. Check out the bathroom shot. There was a waterfall in the men's room.

Then we went back into town to the Raffles Hotel (Singapore was settled and developed by a Mr. Raffles).

Next, we took a boat tour along the Singapore River. We walked past the Parliment Building on our way and I pretended to drop a little litter (of course I would never). Doesn't it look fun to mock another country's laws. (Our cab driver told us they serve jail time for speeding. gasp! But you know what, it was unbelieveably safe and without any police presence. People just know how to behave. Awesome!)

Then off to Sentosa Island where we enjoyed pinapple juice out of a bag (see photo) and another group of louge rides. (We love us some louge). We also saw the man-made beaches that look out upon the beautiful, magestic oil tankers. ahhhh!
